Customer Intelligence is an area of direct marketing which helps identify and understand customer behaviour, and, at the same time, enables applying the most effective marketing strategies and gaining competitive advantage. The congress was an opportunity for representatives of companies from different industries (finance, energy, pharmacy, retail, FMCG and telecommunications) to exchange experiences in the field of efficient customer knowledge management. The issues discussed at the congress included:

identification of existing and potential key accounts,

methods of measuring customer satisfaction,

possibilities of identifying customers who want to switch and methods of retaining them.
Janusz Homa, Software Mind President, in charge of the development of modern technologies, gave a lecture entitled: "Modern Technologies for Customer Intelligence”. The presentation showed how the latest technological achievements help increase a sales volume. Among the issues touched upon were the following:
- features of innovative recommendation systems,
- use of Semantic Web technology,
- borderline between futurology and real possibilities and selected examples of commercial applications.
