During ITU Telecom World 2011, Software Mind SA will present a comprehensive solution IPTV Interactive Multimedia Platform for Telecoms, which includes all the elements necessary for the presentation of interactive and personalised content in formats for multiple devices (so-called multi-screen). The solution was developed jointly with Redefine Sp. z o.o. The platform supports a full range of equipment, including TVs, computers and mobile devices such as smartphones or tablets. Services may be performed on a subscription or pre-paid basis, in own network or OTT. The platform has been implemented by Redefine in one of Europe's largest media groups operating in Poland - Polsat Group. It supports the ipla service - the country's largest web TV offering live broadcasts and tens of thousands of VOD items, including known TV series and programmes from several leading television stations. It is a unique solution on the Polish market, the only media project in Poland, which is available on virtually all types of devices that enable the use of video content on-line (PC: Windows, Linux, MacOS; mobile: Android, iOS, Symbian; TV: Samsung, Panasonic, Philips, LG, Sony and game consoles, media devices and STB).
The second platform presented at the Fair - Software Mind IPTV Multimedia Platform For IMS Operators - is an affordable, comprehensive solution for web TV dedicated to small and medium-sized ISP operators. It is an 'all-in-one' software-hardware platform. In addition to the central middleware unit, it contains an STB TV tuner with the Android operating system, and a customer self-service portal. It is designed for dynamic ISP operators who have the ambition to offer modern and future-proof IPTV and multimedia services to their customers.
The presented platforms use a dedicated, competitively priced Set Top Box developed by Software Mind SA, which is based on Android software. It is a modern, highly innovative, multi-purpose home media centre, which supports SD/HD television, Internet browsing and the use of different applications on the TV screen. The devices can be a TV tuner, a media player, a games console and an Internet router all in one.
